7 proven tips for Blogging, Articles, and Videos

There are many strategies out there for creating good content. You can just write about what you know and are interested in. You can also follow proven methods that have been tested to get results.
Here are 7 proven tips for blogging, articles and video content:

1. How To articles - specifically use "How to ___ "in your title. This article should answer and reveal the title of the question. Have fun with it. Keep it simple, and use steps to outline the process.

2. Do demos and tutorials by SHOWING them how it is done. They want to see exactly how to do it. Again, have fun with it. They are reading or watching because they are interested in that topic. If they like what you have, they will want more.

3. Creating a "Step-by-step guide" for a topic that will allow the reader or viewer to walk through the process in confidence.

4. Write about case studies so they can see someone as an example. People love reading and hearing about others like themselves who have made it work.

5. Expert interviews are a great way highlight your connection with an industry giant as well as give the viewer an inside look at what the expert can offer. Standing on the shoulder of giants is a fantastic way to leverage other's success.

6. News about your current industry, or an event that took place. This can be written as a press release as well. Keeping up with this will show your reader that you keep up with the industry and know what is happening.

7. Using tips like "secrets", "top", "3 Ways" to show something revealed is a great way to sound like you have exclusive information that is sought after.

All of these methods work really well. Use them consistently and watch what happens.

Video marketing is hot - and still hot - google smart

Video marketing is the hottest thing since sliced bread. Everyone who is heavy into marketing knows it and uses it. It is simple to do by recording a quick 2 minute video on a topic you like. You are talking directly to the person. A great way for a person to get to know you before they buy from you.

One of my favorite tools that is so easy to use is iMOVIE on the MAC. You can put images into moving messages with sound whether it is music or your voice. The first time around it might take a little longer, but once you get your fingers rolling you can bust a video out in no time. Have fun with it. Remember, provide value, provide fun and let the viewer know that you like doing this. They will feel it - even if it is not perfect. So for all you out there who have never tried video - get on it! And for those of you who think it might be over and you missed the boat - wrong - it is not over. YouTube and Google are just getting ramped up - you haven't seen anything yet. ;-) Social media at it's best.

How to become an expert in online marketing

Becoming an expert in anything requires time. You have to study the area you are interested in on a deeper level. There is no other way to become the expert than to tackle the information. We have several study guides about online marketing topics in our private members area that are a great starting point. You have to know the fundamentals to become the expert. The one thing you can do after you know the basics is to study and review other people in your industry that are having great results using the same online method you want to master. Pick an area (for example - video marketing), and lay out a plan that reviews the author, title, keywords, content, and go through video after video to take a closer look at their strategy. Study this insight, and you will shortly become a master. If you feel you don't have time to master an area of online marketing, I would ask you, what will you loose in the long run if you don't master an area of online marketing? The loss could have a long term effect to your business.

What is the future of advertising?

Advertising has been around for ages. The method in which advertising appears constantly changes. The internet has changed advertising once again. Google specifically has changed how advertising appears to online users. Google is fine tuning again, with new distribution opportunities for You Tube video promotions. Traditional TV ads, and magazine ads are going to have a hard time keeping up with how to grab consumer time. The interenet is like Time Square, with ads in text form, image form, and video format. Video will become more and more popular with advertisers because they know people are spending tons of time on sites like You Tube. The beauty of YouTube is that you as an advertiser can post your video out there for FREE. If you become a partner, or want to promote your video to a larger audience, google will now help you with that reach. This is just the tip of the iceburg. Keep your eyes open, and watch what happen in the next year. p.s. If you use video, be sure to put some type of tracking into your URL so that you can measure what is working for you, and kill the videos, and sites that aren't delivering.

Video Marketing - what kind of camera do you need?

Video marketing rocks! There are many options of great video cameras out there. We personally like the Flip HD. It allows you to edit within it's own Flip software, giving you clean crisp files that will be great resolution for uploading to YouTube or wherever you plan on marketing. If you do buy a non HD camera, they work great for personal stuff, but will not give you the quality for a great watch on YouTube. You will have to keep this videos in small format so they don't get distorted. When buying your new HD Video Camera, make sure your computer is compatible, and get the HD when you can.
